Dear friend, Sir Fred Heber, we miss you!!
For all those who have met you in one way or another, a true gentleman, veteran soldier and dear friend, it has been an honour, a privilege, a very special treat to have crossed paths with you.
Your very special friend and caregiver Christine Hayward Paquette, shares a humble feeling of gratitude when she says she has served proudly under you ( Veteran Leading Wren, Christine Hayward-Paquette, HMCS York, naval reserve 1980).  There are not too many left of your kind.  You ask for nothing and yet are so appreciative of all the small and great things that come your way without expecting anything, from a new pair of slippers, she says, to a meeting the Princess of the Netherlands!  You expect nothing and are ready to give everything in the service of what you believe is right for the loved ones you serve!!
Dear friend, we all miss you! yet you are with us, as an anchor, as a friend, as what you believe we should all be in the end!
