Two Centuries of Firepower Saturday May 23rd, 2015, at Fort York Toronto was celebrated with a big bang !
This was Door Open at the Old Fort York and two centuries of Firepower with Royal Canadian Artillery on display at the garrison commons with two Salvo planned for the day featuring the Fort York Guard, the 2nd Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, the 7th Toronto Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery and the Limber Gunners’ Association. A 9 Pdr from the 1870’s and one 777- 155 Howitzer and the famed 25 Pdr were all part of the show.
This historic Artillery day was organized by the Fort York and he 7th Toronto Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery.

“The history of the Canadian 12th Field Regiment really goes back much further than 1939 since the four Batteries originally included in the regiment had long and distinguished careers in the First World War and as NPAM units. Their achievements amongst the men who first brought fighting honour to Canada provided a fitting background for those who were to follow in their footsteps. “
